🌾 Agriculture


  • Russian grain drought: Rostov region declared a state of emergency due to severe drought, though Russia's wheat output is still forecast to rise to 135 million tons 

  • U.S. crop conditions: winter wheat and corn ratings improved—wheat futures slid ~$0.19/bushel to ~$5.35, corn fell ~$0.12 to ~$4.30, soybeans dipped marginally to ~$10.57 


🛢️ Crude Oil

  • WTI Crude closed around $64.69 per barrel 

  • Volume remains robust with ~992K barrels traded on NYMEX 

  • Early June highs, buoyed by trade-talk optimism, gave way to slight pullback (~$65 region) 


🪙 Gold

  • Gold futures closed at 3,354.00

  • Marked a modest ~0.1% gain, supported by U.S.–China uncertainties and dollar softness 


Bond Market News

  • U.S. 10‑Year Treasury Yield: ~4.47% 

  • U.S. 30‑Year Treasury Yield: declined to 4.93%, down ~0.02% in the session 


Pimco warns stock valuations are rich relative to bonds, citing near-zero equity risk premium and advocating high-quality bond allocation
