This week, global markets experienced heightened volatility due to escalating trade tensions. President Donald Trump announced intentions to impose a 50% tariff on European Union imports and a 25% tariff on smartphones manufactured outside the U.S., directly impacting major tech companies like Apple and Samsung. These announcements led to significant declines across global markets. 


In Europe, Germany’s DAX fell 1.6%, and France’s CAC 40 dropped 1.7%.  Asian markets closed before the announcements, resulting in mixed performances.
